- Graduated in dentistry- Bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) from Bangalore university in 1970.
- Received the Masters degree in Orthodontics (MDS) from Bangalore university, Karnataka, India in 1976.
- Studied at Government dental college and research institute, Bangalore, India.
- Served as a lecturer in dentistry at Government dental college, Bangalore.
- Served as assistant professor in Orthodontics in the same institution from 1981 to 1993.
- From 1993 to 1999 served as an orthodontist in the Ministry of Public health, State of Kuwait. (award certificate to be inserted)
- From 1999 to 2001, worked as professor and Head of the department of Orthodontics at K.L.E.S. dental college, Bangalore. In the institution served as Vice Principal, Professor & Head of the Department of Orthodontics from 2001 to 2004.
- From 2005 to 2009 served as Professor and Head of the department of Orthodontics at M.S.Ramaiah dental college, Bangalore.
- From 2009 to 2012 served as Principal, Professor and Head of the department of Orthodontics at K.L.E.S. dental college, Bangalore.

- Author of Growth & Development of Dental Arches – paper presented at the International orthodontic conference held at Bombay -1976
- “Intrusion of Maxillary Incisors using a removable Appliance” original paper presented at the All India Dental Conference held at Madras 1978.

- Presented a video film on “TMJ – TRISMUS- Management” at the International Orthodontic Conference held at Bombay 1990.
